Bernard G. Krampe, Sr., 62, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his home. Born in Daviess County on December 10, 1951, he was the son of the late Frank and Martina Reisz Krampe; worked for Commonwealth AG Services; and was a member of St Martin Catholic Church. Mr. Krampe's passion was farming with his family, his brothers and son. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Ann Krampe.
Surviving are his wife Dana Dennison Krampe; a son, Bernard G. Krampe, Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Owensboro; and a daughter, Jamie Kendrick and her husband Dave of Kingsville, Ontario, Canada; grandchildren, Reisz Krampe, Riley Krampe, Ryan Krampe, Rachel Krampe, Lila Grace Kendrick, Madelynn Claire Kendrick and Bolden Craig Kendrick; brothers, Charles (Teresa) Krampe of Henderson, Larry (Becky) Krampe , Joe (Suzie) Krampe, and Pat (Rosemary) Krampe all of Owensboro; sisters, Dolores (Jack) Beyke and Lucille (Pat) Fulkerson both of Owensboro, and Janet (Mike) Wathen of Philpot; and an aunt, Sr. Mary Krampe, OSU, of Mount St. Joseph.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Rome with burial following in St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery in Sorgho. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. on Friday and after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St. Mary Magdalene Building Fund or to Prostate Cancer Research.
