Benny D. Williams

Benny D. Williams, 63, of 8744 Texas Gas Road, Philpot, died Sunday, October 28, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and was retired from Titan Contracting and Hon after 26 years. He loved coaching baseball and had coached T-ball, minor league, Little League, and Babe Ruth baseball teams as well as mens fast-pitch softball.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Katie Ward Williams; 4 sons, Ted Williams, Scott Williams, Jimmy Williams, and Benjamin Williams all of Philpot; and 4 grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1 P.M., Tuesday, October 30, 2001 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. on Monday and after 11 A.M. on Tuesday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Friendship Baptist Church; St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church Building Fund or the Trinity High School Endowment Fund
