Benny Paul Berry

Benny Paul Berry, Sr., 63, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born May 3, 1953 in Detroit, MI to the late Hershel Berry and Estella May. He was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a mechanic. He loved drinking coffee with his friends at the Cadillac Restaurant, working on cars, and helping people. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Benny was also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Mickey, and Ricky Berry, and a sister, Reba Watson.

Surviving are his children, Bennie Paul Berry, Jr. and wife Hollie of Whitesville, Angela Sheriff of Owensboro, and Ashley Rice and husband Shawn of Philpot, 11 grandchildren, Haley, Maddie, Tylo, Whitnee, Christian, Layla, Brayland, Cole, Valerie, Malerie, and Brantley, a sister, Martha Lock, and five brothers, Kenny, Jerry, Byron, Myron, and Bill Berry.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 20, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
