Benita A. Eaton Brown

Benita A. Eaton Brown, 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on June 21, 1936 in Livermore to the late Ben W. and Shirley Taylor Eaton. Benita was retired as a secretary for the Daviess Co. Extension Office. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and was a KY Colonel. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cross-stitching. At one time, she had written stories for True Confessions magazine. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie M. Brown on April 2, 1999, an aunt, Sue Girvin, a nephew, Nicholas Jaynes, and a brother-in-law, Donald Pierce.

Surviving are her children, Brenda Brown and Steve Brown, both of Owensboro, her grandchildren, Jeremy Donovan of Owensboro and Shaina Martin of Owensboro, a great grandchild, Tristan Hunnel, four sisters, Carolyn Pierce, Janice (Jerry) Manaway, and Rita (Nick) Nickens, all of Owensboro, and Sandra (Bob) Watkins of Maceo, two brothers, Wendell (Judy) Eaton and Tom Eaton, all of Owensboro, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 11, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and then Benita will be placed in a niche beside her husband in Owensboro memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
