Bedford L. Brasher, 87, of Owensboro, died Thursday, November 22, 2001 at the Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX. following a brief illness. The Daviess County native retired from the Air Force in 1958 after a career of 22 years. He served in the Philippines, France and Germany during World War II with the 10 Armored Division and served in Korea. Returning to KY after the military, he lived both in McLean County and Owensboro. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Chloe Wiggins Brasher.
He is survived by four sons, Edward L. Brasher and James E. Brasher of Houston, TX, William A. Brasher of St. Louis, Mo., and John W. Brasher of Wichita Falls, TX.; a step-daughter, Barbara D. Phillips of Owensboro; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Sunday at the Glenn Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Sunday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Salvation Army of Owensboro.
