Beatrice Pearl Cummings

Pearl Hicks Cummings, 90, of 725 Scherm Road, died Saturday, April 9, 2005 at her home. Born November 30, 1914 in West Louisville, a daughter of the late Thomas Roy and Addie Wellington Hicks, she was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral, for 25 years was co-owner of Cummings Florist ,and had formerly worked at KenRad and Glenmore Distilley. Her husband, John Lealon Cummings, preceded her in death in 1980.

Survivors include her brothers, T.R. Hicks and his wife Venetta, and Allen Hicks and his wife Bonnie, both of Owensboro, her sisters, Elizabeth Betty Chapman and her husband Joe of Owensboro, and Alice Marotta and her husband Frank of Kissimmee, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

Services are at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen Cathedral. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
