Mr. B B Howard, 86, of Knottsville died Friday, February 25, 2005 at the Bishop Soenneker Home. Mr Howard had lived at the Bishop Soenneker Home the past year and was loved and loved the staff and residents there. He was born May 2, 1918 in Daviess County to Rena Wells Howard and Nicholas Howard. Mr. Howard was an Army Veteran of World War II, a farmer, and retired ironworker. He was a member of the St. William Catholic Church and enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, fishing and hunting. His wife, Vivian ONeil Howard, preceded him in death on May 5, 1996.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Bill Schofield of Whitesville and Sue and Stan Hasselbrinck both of Whitesville and Priscilla and Frankie Haynes of Philpot; eight sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Ida Mae Howard of Pellville, B.B. Jr. and Shirley Howard of Whitesville, Alan and Linny Howard of Philpot, Jerry and Tammy Howard, Ricky Howard, Darrell and Sandra Howard and Roger Howard all of Philpot and Ronnie and Penny Howard of Hawesville; 41 Grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Roy Howard of Michigan.
Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Monday, February 28, 2005 at St. William Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post 696. Visitation will be from 1-8 P.M. Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home and after 8:30 A.M. on Monday. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 6 P.M. on Sunday evening.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Director of Activities at the Bishop Soenneker Home in Knottsville or to Hospice.
