Bartholene Warren

Maple Mount Sister Mary Bartholene Warren, 102, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph of Maple Mount, Ky., died Wednesday, April 13, at Owensboro Medical Health Systems. She was in her 83rd year of religious life.
A native of St. Mary in Marion County, Sister Bartholene was an educator for 57 years. Her teaching ministry included St. Mary Magdalene, Sorgho (1937-39), St. Romuald, Hardinsburg (1945-47), and St. Alphonsus Elementary (1925-27) and High School (1952-54), St. Joseph. She taught in many other schools in the Diocese of Owensboro and in the Archdiocese of Louisville, and for 16 years in New Mexico, where she knew Mother now Saint Katharine Drexel.
Survivors include nieces and nephews and the members of her religious community.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Mount Saint Joseph, where visitation will begin Friday at 4 p.m., with a wake service following at 6:30 p.m.
Glenn Funeral Home, Owensboro, is in charge of arrangements.
