Barry Riggs, 55, of Eddyville, Kentucky died Sunday, May 27, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Ligonier, PA, was a member of Saratoga Methodist Church in Eddyville, was a Millwright, a US Army Veteran, avid hunter, boater, fisherman and rock hunter, who also enjoyed gardening, coaching softball, being a Boy Scout leader, and a Mason. Barry was larger than life and treasured the time spent with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Andrea Maupin Riggs; children LaVohn (Lew) Crabtree of Owensboro, Lafe (Caitlin) Riggs; and Aubrey Riggs all of Eddyville; grandchildren, Gage and Madlyn Crabtree of Owensboro; parents, James Willis and Betty Knight Riggs of Owensboro; brothers, Neil (Connie) Riggs of Stamping Ground, KY and Randy Riggs of Marks, MS; and sister, Victoria Williams of Okeechobee, FL.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from noon until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY.
