Barbara Ann Young

Barbara Ann Young, 56, of Owensboro, went into the care of her Lord, surrounded by her family, following a brave battle with a lengthy illness. Barbara was a daughter of the late Lloyd Vincent and Edwina Goodman Vincent. She was born in Owensboro on September 2, 1953 and at the age of 15 married her sweetheart, David Young, a marriage of 41 years. A loving mother, she devotedly cared for her family and their home and was sustained by her non-denominational Holiness faith. In addition to her parents, her brothers, Stephen Vincent and Lloyd Vincent, Jr. preceded her in death.

Surviving Barbara are her husband, David E. Young; her son, David E. Young, Jr. and his wife Christine, of Owensboro; her daughters, Lisa Renea Young and Tabitha Fuqua and her husband David, all of Owensboro; her sister, Brenda Brown of Owensboro; and eight grandchildren.

Services, officiated by Brother Herbert Boling and Brother Larry Pogue, are at 12:00 noon Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
