Barbara Ann Watkins

Barbara Ann Watkins, 61, formerly of Owensboro, died Thursday, April 17, 2003 at the Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center in Liberty, KY. The Henderson native was a Missionary and had helped raise 48 children through her work. She was a member of the Springfield Community Church in Springfield, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Emalee Bonnell Trent; a brother, Charles Trent and two sisters, Blanch Gish and Jean Curtis.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Kenneth Lee Watkins; two sons, Del Watkins of Arkansas and Tim Stone of Owensboro; seven daughters, Sharon Coomes of Owensboro, Keni Ford of Cloverport, Vickie Walters and Pamela Hawk of Henderson, Marcia Watkins of Berea, Mary Beth Watkins of Liberty, and Barbara Ellen Watkins of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother, Randall Trent of Hazelgreen, AL; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 P.M. Sunday at the Bartle Funeral Home in Liberty. Friends may call at the funeral home in Liberty after 6 P.M. on Saturday. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro from 4-8 P.M. on Monday and after 9 A.M. on Tuesday. Graveside services will be at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at Bathabara Cemetery in Habit.
