Barbara Wren Page

Barbara Wren Page, 92, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 29, 1932, in Russellville, KY to the late Lois and Pearl Wren.

Mrs. Page was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. During her years while raising a family, she was a role model of a Christian homemaker dedicated to sharing Christ's love with her family. Later, she had the joy of using her talents with her husband in their business, Russ Page Portraits. She was an active member of Third Baptist Church. Over her lifetime, Barbara enjoyed reading, golfing with her husband, gardening, singing in church choirs, and spending quality time with family, especially during the Christmas season.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of seventy-two years, Russ Page in May of 2023.

She is survived by a son, Wes Page (Kim) of Owensboro; a daughter, Cyndi Crall (Brian) of Danville, KY; granddaughters, Shelley Crowell (Justin), Tama Phillips (Stuart), Holly Rose (Clint), Tina Payne (Dexter), Aliea Karsner (Peyton) and Gabby Johnson (Damon); fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Jean Sansom; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Barbara will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday June 1, 2024, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Ron Williams officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. The burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville, KY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Meals (Soup Kitchen) of Third Baptist, 527 Allen St. Owensboro, KY. 42301 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathen’s Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to caregivers, Vicki Newton, and to Ronnie from Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky.
