Barbara Ann Mcdevitt

Barbara Ann McDevitt, 79, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at her home. Barbara was born November 30, 1928, to the late Leroy and Eva Bossie McDevitt in Louisville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" McDevitt, who passed away May 5, 2006. Jack and Barbara were married for 60 years.

Barbara was a retired Realtor, a gifted artist, and a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Michele Hartung, and her husband, Wally of Owensboro; a son, Jeffrey McDevitt and his wife, Melinda of Miami, FL; two grandchildren, Christin Clatterbuck and her husband, Ross, and John Hartung.

Barbara's family and friends surrounded her in the last days of her life, and knew that she wanted her passing to be private. Services and burial will be private. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
