Barbara Ann Hendricks Madewell

Barbara Ann Hendricks Madewell, 78, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Heartford House. She was born April 7, 1948 in Daviess County to the late Mary Ruth Noe and Fred Hendricks, Sr. Barbara was of the Baptist faith and trusted Jesus to be her Lord and Savior. She had managed various Pantry stores throughout Daviess County and was employed at UniFirst and finished her working career in the office at Park Regency Apartments. Barbara loved the country life, enjoyed Windy Hollow car racing, was an avid bowler for years, loved music, playing bingo, and later in life, mastered word games.

Barbara was also preceded in death by several siblings, Charlotte Dukes, Freda Hendricks, John William Hendricks, Timothy Lee Hendricks, Mark Allen Hendricks, and Fred Hendricks, Jr.

Surviving are three sons, Jerry Ross (Tracy) of Whitesville, Joseph Andrew Ross of Owensboro, and Jimmy Dale Ross (Shanney) of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Hendricks of Madisonville and Mary Pauline Allmon (Raymond) of Herndon, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Barbara will be 2 PM Friday, April 24 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Enichement will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 12 PM until 1:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
