Barbara D. Itschner, 66, of 2920 Yale Place (Roosevelt House), passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at her home. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. and was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed sewing for herself, her family, and her friends at the Roosevelt House, and spending time and playing cards with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, James Claude Mattingly in 1970, and two brothers, James Robert Mattingly in 1998 and Joseph Earl Mattingly in 1964.
Surviving are her mother, Elizabeth P. Mattingly of Owensboro, a daughter, Karen King-Jones and husband Rubin of Lexington, a son, James Itschner and wife Jennifer of Louisville, two stepsons, Robert Louis Itschner and wife Amy of Safety Harbor, Fla. and Theodore Thomas Itschner and wife Denise of Moyock, N. C., six grandchildren, Michael King, Tiffany Jones, Eric Itschner, Bobby Itschner, Taylor Itschner, and Korry Jones, and several nieces and nephews including Tracy Murphy of Owensboro.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 11, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 10:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
