Barbara France Doolin

Barbara France Doolin 71, of Owensboro entered into eternal rest December 4, 2017 while under the care of Hospice of Western KY. She was born March 20, 1946 in Muhlenburg County, KY to the late Rev. Owen and Juanita Case France. Barbara raised her children in Hartford, KY and she retired from Thomas Industries in nearby Beaver Dam, after 20 years of service. Barb enjoyed antiquing, fishing, and had volunteered at Habitat for Humanity. Most of all,
she enjoyed spending time with her family. Barbara was also preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Carter, in 2015.

She is survived by her children; Donna Fielden Carter of Louisville, Kenneth D. Fielden, and Jenny Doolin Jones (Ray), all of Owensboro. Barbara is also survived by her siblings; Shirley Thomas of Indiana, Don France of Beaver Dam, and Dairl France of Owensboro, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Barbara had been fighting a courageous battle against cancer for three years. She was genuine in nature, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

At Barbara's request, there will be no formal services. Her children will have a private celebration of their mother's life at a later date. Inurnment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, along side of her parents. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.

The family requests expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions in Barbara's name to the American Cancer Society or Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
