Barbara "Sue" Dickens, 71, of Owensboro, died June 21, 2014, at The Heartford House. She was born on July 6, 1942, in Owensboro to the late Joseph Roy Dickens and Mary Lee Dickens. She was a retired graphic artist who continued to enjoy painting and illustration. More than anything, she enjoyed the company of her numerous friends and family members. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, she'll be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sue is survived by her children, Don (Cathy) Wathen Jr., Sally Wathen, and Richard Wathen; her grandchildren Reid and Griffin Wassmer; by her brothers Barney (Pat) Dickens, Terry Joe (Myrle) Dickens, and Jack (Debbie) Dickens; by her sisters Kerry Jean (John deceased) Hall and Gail (Mike) Martin; and by several nieces and nephews whom she loved. She was preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Roy Dickens.
