Barbara J. Boswell, 74, of Owensboro, went to be with her Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 19, 2008. She was born September 3, 1933 in Beech Creek in Muhlenberg County to Clifton and Pansy Benson. She was raised on a farm in Rochester in Butler County. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and enjoyed collecting costume jewelry.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert "Bobby" Boswell, her second husband, Thomas Robertson, her father, Clifton Benson, a brother, Larry Benson, a sister, Janis Eaton, and a daughter-in-law, Catherine "Kitty" Boswell.

Survivors include her sons, David W. Boswell, Gary Boswell and his wife, Meg, and Mark Boswell and his wife, Melody, all of Owensboro; a daughter, Karen Hodgson and her husband, Craig of Lexington; 15 grandchildren, Chris Boswell, Brandon Boswell, Clifton Boswell, Julie Johnson, Andrea Blakeman, Brooke Boswell, Aubrie Boswell, Brittany Woodman, Esther Lynn, Lauren Boswell, Natalie Hodgson, Bryan Boswell, Bethany Boswell, Bobby Boswell, and Charlie Boswell; 14 great-grandchildren; her mother, Pansy Grise Benson of Rochester; a brother, Bartley Benson of Maceo, and her sisters, Betty Knight of Calhoun and Wanda Cherry of Florida.

Services will be 12:00 PM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Yellow Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 5:00 PM Sunday and after 10:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage Baptist Church Building Fund, 3585 Thruston-Dermont Road, Owensboro, KY 42303.
