Barbara E. Boone

Barbara E. Boone, 72, of Owensboro passed away with her family by her side Monday June 18, 2018 at her home under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Mrs. Boone was born February 27, 1946 in -Cannelton, Indiana to the late Garland and Mary Lou Young. Barbara was the last of her eight siblings to pass away. She worked at Barney's Grill for over 20 years and then at Jack and Jenny's. Barbara enjoyed UK basketball, getting away by going camping and relaxing by working word puzzles. She also had a green thumb and raised beautiful roses. Barbara loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 45 years, James "J.B." Boone; daughters, Teresa Green and husband Hank and Rebecca Cox and husband Billy; son, Charlie Boone and fiance', Mary Reed; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the special care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.

Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 21 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Tim Hall officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 till 7:00 pm and Thursday after 9:00 am at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Rosehill Cemetery.
