Ava Lee Robertson

August 8, 1911 — May 30, 2001

Ava Lee Robertson, 89, of 2808 Wesleyan Park Drive, Owensboro, died Wednesday May 30, 2001 at Caldwell County Memorial Hospital in Princeton. She was born in Ohio County on August 8, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Fleming Sharp and Ada Townsley Sharp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Louis Robertson on December 19, 1991.

Mrs. Robertson was a homemaker, former co-owner and vice president of Robertson Lumber Co. of Owensboro, Fordsville, Cloverport and Cannelton, IN and a member of Third Baptist Church. She was a member of Fidelis Sunday school class, Mary Brown Missionary Circle and worked in the church nursery for many years.

Survivors include three daughters, Bobbie Lee Robertson of Owensboro, JoAnn McCaslin of Princeton and Jackie Napper of Philpot; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are at 2:30 p.m. Friday June 1, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service Friday.
