Audrey Gene Whitehead

Audrey G. Whitehead, 73, of 341 Holmes Drive, Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Centertown, Ky. and had worked for 19 years at Southern States Co-op. and for 12 years at Modern Welding Co. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and was a U. S. Army veteran during the Korean War time. He enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family, neighbors, and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Humphrey Whitehead, a son and daughter-in-law, Lindy & Becky Whitehead of Owensboro, a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy & Michael Moss of Owensboro, three grandchildren, Jana & Kaylee Whitehead, and Blake Moss, 2 stepgrandchildren, Bert Moss of Owensboro, and Olivia Cooke of Buford, S. C., two brothers, Charles Whitehead of Owensboro, and W. C. Whitehead of Michigan, and a sister, Mary Herrode of Centertown, Ky. and numerous Nieces & Nephews.

Services will be at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 20, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M.
