Ashlyn Elizabeth Dube

Ashlyn Elizabeth Dube, 21, of Owensboro, passed away December 8, 2024, at home. She was born in Owensboro on January 25, 2003, to Chris Dube and Stephanie Spaulding Dube. Ashlyn had a desire to help others, support social justices, and was in the midst of earning her degree in social work. She was sweet and funny, but kept her dry sense of humor close. Ashlyn had a love for all living things; from animals to flowers, and the tiniest of creatures, Ashlyn cared for them by protecting their wildlife conservation. She enjoyed reading, making bracelets, music, being a member of the band, and testing out a rainbow of colors in her hair. Her outward expression of art, care for others and love for all things, was a reflection of her inward beauty. Ashlyn was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Mert and Betty Spaulding, Frank and Marge Doherty, Romeo and Juliet Dubé, and Paul and Exilda Cyr. 

She is survived by her mother, Stephanie Spaulding Dube; father, Chris (Vicky) Dube; brother, Andrew Dube; sister, Alexis Dube; grandparents, Dick and Pauline Dube, Bob and Vickie Spaulding, and Mark and Valerie Faddis, along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

The funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17 at First Presbyterian Church where visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Ennichement will take place at a future date at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Daviess County Animal Shelter.
