Arthur Wesley Muffett

Arthur Wesley Muffett has moved on. He was a loving husband 66 years to Margaret Jean Coppage. He leaves behind three sisters, and five children: Arthur Wesley Jr.,(Wes), Barbara Marchetti, Daniel, Michael, and Linda Conkright. He was a grandfather of 20, great grandfather of 24, and 2 great great grand children. He was a preacher of common sense and a true southern gentleman.

Strong and gentle, confident and humble, the years carved this farmer, sailor, mechanic then farmer again, into the man we all loved. He truly had a ''thundering velvet hand.'' We will always miss and love him.


Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time.
