Ardis Lea Hamilton

Ardis L. Hamilton, 66, of Owensboro passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Hammond, Indiana on July 4th, 1951 to the late Thomas and Virginia Hanna. Ardis came to Owensboro in order to attend Kentucky Wesleyan College where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Mrs. Hamilton taught school in Beaver Dam and Owensboro. She was also a Master Cake Decorator for 15 years. Ardis and her husband, Darrell "Hambone" were co-owners of Owensboro Tree and Landscaping Service for 30 years. Ardis loved to be outdoors with her hands in the dirt planting flowers and shrubs as well as spending time with her grandchildren and her fur babies.

Ardis is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Darrell Hamilton and their three daughters, Heather, Kimberly, and Holly Hamilton all of Owensboro; two stepchildren, Sarah Jones and Scott Rhodes (Leah) both of Owensboro: 19 grandchildren all also of Owensboro; one brother, Thomas Hanna (Myra) of Plainfield, Indiana.
