April Christine Campbell Goodall went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 31, 2016, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. April was born on April 26, 1972, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Denny Campbell and Sally I. Altrogge Campbell.
April married the love of her life, Herbert C. Goodall, on September 3, 1993. Their children, Courtney, Morgan Summer, and DJ (Dennie James) were her pride and joy. She loved watching them play ball, dance and supported them any way possible. DJ was her "Big Guy" and she loved to wrestle with him and watch NASCAR races and football games with him. April was delighted when Summer joined the Army National Guard in July 2015. Courtney gave April one of her greatest joys by having her present at the birth of her grandson, Izaiah Sawyer Goodall, on August 26, 2014. She was a great wife, mother and a good cook. She loved her family dearly. April was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harland C. and Anna D. Altrogge and French and Opal L. Campbell.
April received an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Owensboro Community and Technical College in 1993. In 2002, she received an Associate Real Estate Appraiser License. Then in March 2010, April was very excited to receive a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree from OCTC. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a 1990 graduate of Apollo High School.
Through the years, April held many different jobs. She worked for Walmart (where she met her loving husband), Sears Portrait Studio, Reynolds Appraisal Service, and several nursing homes. She also was an assistant teacher and PE teacher at Owensboro Christian Academy for three years. While working at the Christian school, April was able to make a positive influence on the children. Her latest employer was Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. April was a wonderful nurse who cared deeply for her patients and tried to make each day better for them.
April enjoyed spending time with her whole family. She attended dance recitals, ball games and birthday parties for her nieces and nephews. If she was able, she was there. She enjoyed shopping with her siblings on Black Fridays, an annual tradition. She enjoyed date nights with her husband and evenings watching movies with her kids. April is survived by her husband, Herbert C. Goodall, and her three children, Courtney L. Goodall, Morgan Summer Goodall and DJ (Dennie James) Goodall, a grandson, Izaiah S. Goodall, one sister, Sondra Campbell, five brothers, Bryan (Tracy) Campbell, Barak (Faith) Campbell, John Campbell, Timothy (Lydia) Campbell and Benjamin (Julie) Campbell and her nephews JR Whorley, Joshua Campbell, James Goodall III, Jesse (Jacklyn) Goodall, Tyler (Laryssa) Goodall, Elijah Campbell, Corbin Liverman, Michael Campbell and Liam Campbell, and nieces Sarah Day, Nikki Goodall, Jennifer Campbell, Megan Williamson, Lily Campbell, Kaylei Liverman, Emma Campbell, Aely Campbell, Trinity Campbell and Alexia Campbell and a lot of great nieces and nephews.
