Anthony Lee "Tony" Mehlbauer

Anthony Lee "Tony" Mehlbauer II, 45, of Owensboro, passed away May 16, 2017 at his home. He was born April 9, 1972 in Daviess County to his parents Anthony and Sandra Clark Mehlbauer. Tony was of the Catholic faith. He was a very hard worker and was employed at UPS as a delivery driver for 19 years. Tony also was an expert landscaper.

He was an avid U of L fan, cornhole player, played golf, and also loved boating and being out on the water. Tony also enjoyed grilling out and hanging out with his many friends and family, which he loved to laugh and joke with. He is famous for his killer dance moves and was also known to be generous almost to a fault. Tony loved playing basketball with his family and his three boys, which he loved dearly and held very close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clem and Adeline Mehlbauer; and maternal grandparents, Charles and Mildred Clark.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his three sons, Scotty Mehlbauer (Jess), Dylan Mehlbauer, and Trey Mehlbauer; sisters, Jessica Washer (John) of Louisville, and Lauren Waninger (Nathan) of Owensboro; his longtime companion, Dana Stanley; previous wife and mother of his children, Cheri Dattilo Heller; expected twin grandchildren, which are due in November; nieces and nephews, Dariane and Ethan Smith, Mikayla and Jackson Waninger, Paris Hohiemer; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Immaculate Catholic Church with Father Tony Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2 till 8 PM with prayers at 6 PM and Saturday from 8:30 till 9:30 AM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
