Mark graduated from Owensboro Catholic High in 1971, was employed by King’s Department Stores, Canteen Services, and retired from Bowling Green Paper Company. He was a mentor to high school students seeking career guidance. Mark was on the committee involved in the construction of the new Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Bowling Green and helped parish members build homes with Habitat for Humanity. He worked with engaged and married couples through his parish ministry. After moving to Owensboro in 2022, Mark participated in Leadership Owensboro and continued being an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mark loved to fish and play golf with his brothers and brothers-in-law. He was the lead singer and arranged music for The Higdon Brothers Band which entertained residents at rest homes in the Owensboro and Rockport areas. His greatest joy was to play guitar and sing to his family.
