Anthony "Tony" Hall,70, of Owensboro, KY passed away Wednesday November 2,2011 at his home.
Mr. Hall was born in Daviess County, KY on September 10,1941 the son of the late Mr. Gilbert Hall and Mrs. Anna Bell Head Hall. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Mr. Hall was of the Roman Catholic faith and was retired from Dart Polymers with over 20 years of service where he worked as a maintenance technician, he enjoyed coaching baseball and football, camping, taking pictures of his family, he loved to read and watch NASCAR and make home movies of his family and spend time together, but his passion was Bluegrass music where he played the guitar with his friends in the Local Yokels, he volunteered his time at the ROMP festival, Rest Homes, schools and Friday After Five, he was a very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Hall is survived and sadly missed by his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth JoAnn Hall of Owensboro, two daughters, Denise ( Terry) Hogue of Terre Haute, IN and Toni ( Patrick) Thompson of Owensboro, KY two sons Michael ( Gina) Hall of Evansville, IN,; and Jason ( Kara) Hall of Owensboro, KY two sisters, Dolly Smith and Patricia Maugerman both of Owensboro,; and one brother Bill O'Bryan of Iowa, thirteen grandchildren, Michelle Hall, Cassidy McFarling, Zoe, Dion and Orion Gallagher, Abby, Ava, Raymond, Lucy, Lily Thompson, Kaley, Ethan, Elizabeth Hall and two great grandchildren, Bryanna Telano and Adalie McFarling.
Memorial services for Mr. Hall will be held on Saturday November 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Glenn Funeral and Crematory with Father Mark Buckner officiating, with burial to follow at the St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery in Sorgho.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the service time at the funeral home.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, the envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
