Mrs. Annie Frances Sauer, 90, formerly of 730 Devonshire Drive, Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, May 17th, 2006 at the Episcopal Church Home in Louisville, Kentucky after a short illness. Mrs. Sauer was a self-employed beautician in the Utica and Owensboro areas for many years, and a member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Massilon and Carrie DeMoss, four brothers; Buel DeMoss, Calvin DeMoss, Mark DeMoss, and Pete DeMoss, and four sisters; Delila Stiles, Lola Braden, Jessie Durbin, and Allie Gist, and her husband, James H. Sauer. She is survived by one son, Bruce Sauer of Prospect, Kentucky, his wife, Kathie, and two grandchildren, Lindsay and David. She will be remembered like a mother and grandmother by many others.
Services will be at 11 am on Saturday, May 20th at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church, with visitation at the Glenn Funeral Home from 2 pm to 8 pm Friday, and from 9 am to 11 am at Woodlawn. The Reverend George Phillips of Greenville will give the eulogy with Dr. Dean Weber officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a contribution to the Woodlawn United Methodist Church and/or to the ministry of Rev. George Phillips, 5760 Greenbrier Church Road, Elkton, Kentucky 42220.
