Annie Abigail Poole, 89, of Owensboro, passed away on December 30, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Breckenridge County to the late John Truman Wilkerson and Nancy Rachel Woods Wilkerson. Annie loved spending time with her family, was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, yard sales, and watching Western movies. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Marcus Poole, son, William Lamon Poole, brother, William Wilkerson and sister Lela Dawson.
Survivors include her children, Mary Daugherty (Dennis), Maudie Browning all of Owensboro, David Poole (Debbie) of Cleaton, Edna Case (Johnny) of Calhoun, Vickie Mireles (Ishmael), Brenda Watkins, Ellis Poole (Carolyn) all of Owensboro, Frances Jackson of Hartford, Raymond Poole (Vickie) and Thomas Poole (Della) all of Owensboro; sisters, Dorothy McCarty (Charles) of Maceo and Leona Dawson (Doris) of Hawesville; 34 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Noon on Saturday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday and after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery in Hardinsburg.
