Annette Stimson Denton Poulk

Annette Stimson Denton Poulk, 88, of Owensboro, died, January 4, 2015. She was born August 15, 1926 in Campbellsville, Kentucky to the late Maurice Arden and Lucille Rice Stimson. Annette was a member of Settle Memorial Methodist Church. She attended the Mary Lou Phillips Sunday school class for over 50 years and also sang in the choir for over 35 years. Annette retired from Central Bank and Trust. She graduated from Owensboro High School and attended Christian College, and University of Kentucky.

Annette was preceded in death by grandchildren, Nathan E. Wellman, Leslie Ann Wellman, and sister, Judith Stimson Lyons.

Survivors include her son, David Stimson Denton (Sally) of Cadiz, Ky.; daughters, Sally Ann Denton Boles (Rick) of Knottsville and Phoebe Denton Jamieson (Jamie) of Greenville, OH; grandchildren, Sarah Denton Copeland (Brandon), Nicholas E. Wellman (Jennifer), Jamie Lee Jamieson Fry (Josiah), Anne Denton Beale (William), Lindsay Jamieson Hunt (Tony), Carrie Jamieson, and James David Boles (Samantha); and 7 great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2:00pm Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 2:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Settle Memorial UMC Memorial Fund.
