Annette Batsel Clark, 91, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully in her sleep to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 19, 2013. She was born December 26, 1921 in Central City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Clark, her three sisters, Francis Green, Martha Moore, and Pattye Alexander, and her granddaughter, Allison Clark. The memory of her loving spirit, generous heart, and smiling face will be cherished by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Anne (Ron) Presser, Sonny (Janet) Clark, and Leslie (Joe) Cecil, her grandchildren, Kristin (Chad) Gray, Jeff (Debbie) Presser, Jonathan (Gina) Presser, Leanne (Shane) Middlebrooks, Ashlee (Brent) Pillow, Bethany (Tom) Vernizzi, and Bryan (Erica) Cecil. She loved spending time with her great grandchildren, Emma Grace, Lucy Kate, and Sara Beth Gray; Marly Presser; Caleb and Logan Presser; Lily Claire and Jackson Middlebrooks; Ava Joy and Mia Cate Pillow; Haley Vernizzi; and Truitt Cecil. Also surviving is her brother, Ed Batsel, and the many friends she is leaving behind including her best friend, Evelyn Raines.
Annette graduated from Bowling Green Business University in 1941 and retired from Acme Plumbing and Heating after many years of service. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and her Bible Study Class. Annette was a woman of many talents, which included cooking and creating a legacy of treasures in every facet of needle work imaginable for her family and friends. She was also a long-time avid fan of the Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 22 at Owensboro Christian Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Owensboro Christian Church.
