Annelle "Annie" Barkley Mayes

Annelle “Annie” Barkley Mayes was born and also peacefully departed this world on June 8, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Though her time with us was fleeting, her presence left an undeniable mark of love and grace that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege to hold her close.

Annie's life was filled with the purest expressions of love. She was held tenderly and loved beyond measure during her brief stay in this world. While her time on earth may have been short, it spoke volumes in the hearts it touched. Now, she rests peacefully and wholly in the arms of Jesus.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving parents, Jake and Ellen Barkley (Gray) Mayes; her brother and sister, Shepard Ray Mayes and Mia Daniel Mayes; grandparents, Danny and Jill Gray, Chad and Chandi Mayes, and Kelly Coulter; aunts and uncles, Dylan Coulter, Jess Coulter, Micah Mayes, Isabella Mayes, Noah Mayes (Grace), Whitney Mayes and Jordan Gray (April); as well as many cousins.
