Anne Marie Kelley Miller of 6939 Wathen Lane, Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in St. Anthony's Hospice in Henderson. She was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming on May 29, 1923 to the late James W. and Ethel (Aber) Kelley. Her family moved to El Paso Texas in 1929 where she graduated from El Paso High School in 1941. She then attended the College of Mines, which is now the University of Texas at El Paso. She was a second grade educator and taught at Parkland Elementary in El Paso for 20 years. She lived in Flower Mound, Texas from 2004 to 2006 before relocating to Henderson in 2006. She was of the Presbyterian Faith, member of Tri Delta Sorority, Gold Diggers at the College of Mines, Women's Club of El Paso, El Paso Medical Auxillary, and the Retired Teacher's Association.
Mrs. Miller enjoyed reading, shopping, and visiting her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Dr. John B. Miller.
Surviving are her six children; Beverly (Fred) Schopmeyer of Lipan, Texas, Patricia (Dr. William E.) Steinmann of El Paso, Texas, Julie (Mike) Thomas of Henderson, Dr. Sally (Dr. Kelly W.) Fife of Henderson, Rebecca Miller of Phonex, Arizona, John B. Miller Jr. of Lusby, Maryland, grandchildren; Justin Slaughter, Mamie Hudson, William E. Steinmann III, John B. Steinmann, Noelle, Tyne and Hunter Varela, Luke, Josh and Isaac Fife, Austin Diaz and Shaun Miller, two great-grandchildren; Liam and Gage Steinmann.
No visitation is planned. Interment will take place in El Paso, Texas at a later date and time.
