Anne Dawson Ford, 71, died, Friday, April 15, 2005 at her home. She was born Jan. 30, 1934 in Louisville, KY, to the late Wallace Douglas and Ida Belle Dawson. She was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church where she was active and taught Sunday school for many years. She taught school in Niceville, FL, 1957-1959 and retired from teaching at Daviess County Middle School in 1992. She enjoyed her grandchildren and could always be found working in her flower gardens in the spring. Her brother, Sam Dawson, of Montgomery, AL, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, William E. (Bill) Ford, Jr., a daughter Sally Roby and her husband, Kris of Owensboro. A son, William E. (Ed) Ford III and his wife Tonya of Owensboro, two grandsons, William E. (Willy) Ford IV and Tristan Roby, two granddaughters, Kelsea Roby and Lyndsay (Ford) and her husband Damon Hagan, and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Ford, all of Owensboro, and a brother, Wallace Dawson and his wife Vickie of St. Louis, Mo.
Services are at 11:30 Monday, at Glenn Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. till 11:30 Monday, burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery near Thruston.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Yellow Creek Baptist Church building fund.
