Anne Clanton

Anne Clanton, 77, of Owensboro died January 20, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born November 3, 1936 in Red Bay, MS to the late Elbert and Myrtle Alverson Clanton. Anne was a devoted Christian, loving mother and grandmother and a true friend. She was a passionate vocalist and accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed cooking and serving. Anne knew that serving others was her purpose and calling in Christ.

She also was preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Sullivan; and brothers, Wade, and E.Y. "Curly" Clanton.

Surviving are her children, Stacy (Morris) Fikes of Tuscaloosa, AL; and Grant Sullivan of Lahaina, Maui, HI; grandchildren, Tyler Sullivan of Lahaina, Maui, HI; and Ashley Sullivan of Huntington, WV; brother and sister, James O. Clanton of Ranch Palos Verdes, CA; and Flo Staggs of Huntsville, AL; many loving nieces and nephews, her loving church family; and her very special friends at The Roosevelt House.

A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory with Reverend Greg Faulls presiding. Visitation will be after 3 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may also take the form of donations to Bellevue Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
