Anna Ruth Roach Shown

Anna Ruth Roach Shown, 88, (formerly of Owensboro) passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at St Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. Born in Daviess County on June 18, 1920, She was the daughter of the late Rollie and Myrtle Jeffries Roach; was a homemaker; and enjoyed gardening, socializing; and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Leibfried, and brothers, Harold and Roy Lee Roach.

Mrs. Shown is survived by her husband of 67 years, Delmar Shown; children, Suzanne Shown of Memphis, Joseph (Karen) Shown of Valdosta, GA, Steve (Jackie) Shown of Owensboro, Judy Grant of Austin, TX, Jane (Rick) Miller of Conyers, GA, John Shown of Owensboro, and Rob (Wynne) Shown of Port Aransas, TX; grandchildren, Tracy Nelms, Kaye Jaynes, Sara Corley, Ellen Carlo, Emily Somers, Nicole Shown, Demian Shown, Jake Shown, Joey Miller, Rob Miller, Katie Grant, Blue Evans, Keeley Wahl, Amber Schexnider, Taylor Shown and Haley Shown; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Glenn Funeral Home followed by burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday evening and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
