Anna Carolyn Robinson Prather

Anna Carolyn Robinson Prather, 86, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born March 31, 1939 in Daviess County to the late Oscar Waller and Shirley Schultz Robinson. Anna had worked at General Electric for a while but was a homemaker most of her life. She was a caregiver to many people and loved caring for her grandchildren and nieces. Anna enjoyed U. K. basketball, bowling, and watching her grandchildren in their sporting events. She also loved cooking for her family and friends and taking care of her flowers and yard.

Anna was also preceded in death by her husband, George Prather in 2010, her son, Jeff “Cornbread” Prather in 2013, and her brother, Luther Wally Robinson in 2020.

Surviving are her daughters, Terry Prather Wagner (Mark) and Lorrie Prather Bartlett (Byron Puckett) , all of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Aaron Prather of Owensboro, Felicia Bartlett Cox (Dylan) of Reynolds Station, Meagen Wagner of St. Louis, Brandon Bartlett (Leslie) of Owensboro, and Angelia Prather of Edwardsville, Illinois; a great grandchild, Karsyn Cox; sister, Billie Jean Luckett (Richard) of Louisville; sister-in-law, Doris Robinson of Owensboro; and several nieces and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, August 25, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
