Anna Christine Peters

Anna Christine Peters, 52, of 601 Alexandria, Owensboro, died Tuesday, October 2, 2002 at Owensboro Mercy Health System.

The Daviess County native was a member of First Baptist Church who enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was a golf enthusiast who organized the Ann Peters-M.D. Anderson Charitable Golf Tournament which raised$82,000, and twice won the Owensboro Country Club and Summit Country Club championships.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Bruce Allan Peters; a daughter, Holly A. King of Owensboro, two sons, John T. Yager and Tony Yager, both of Owensboro; four step-daughters, Kimberly P. McClellan, Julie P. Wells, Ashley P. Payne, and Courtney Peters, all of Owensboro; eight grandchildren; her mother, Mary Kyle of Owensboro; two sisters, Cindy L. Whitmer and Rosemary Conder, both of Owensboro; three brothers, Bill Kyle, Tom Kyle, and David Kyle, all of Owensboro: and several nieces and nephews, all of Owensboro.

Memorial services are 7 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Visitation is from 3:00 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home.
