Anna Mae Murphy

Anna Mae Murphy, 86 of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on September 24, 1924 in Jefferson Co., Ky. She is a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Thruston-Philpot Volunteer Fire Dept. She loved going to Friday After 5, playing cards and Yahtzee, camping, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Theresa Hardin Goeing, husband Frank J. Murphy on May 19, 1996 and a son, Kenneth Alan Murphy on July 16, 1989.

Surviving are two sons, Frank W. Murphy and Michael A. Murphy and wife Kimberli, all of Owensboro, daughter-in-law, Sheila Murphy Barker of Lewisport, one grandchild, Kenneth Brian Murphy, one great grandchild, Daelin Sean Murphy, and an aunt, Mildred Murphy of Louisville.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 20, at St. Pius X Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 8:30 A.M. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be 5:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
