Anna Marie Russell Moore

December 21, 1916 — January 28, 2009

Anna Marie Russell Moore, of 917 Parkway Dr., went "home to be with the Lord" on Wednesday, January 28 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on Dec. 21, 1916 in Marion Co., Ky. to the late Joe Ben and Mary Josephine Wheatley Russell. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse having worked at Owensboro-Daviess Co. Hospital for 10 years, co-owned Paul Moore Realty with her husband, and was a member of Good Shepherd Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews, raising flowers and vegetables, sewing, and housekeeping. The most valuable thing to her was her Bible and the Lord and she was a prayer warrior. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Moore on Jan. 1, 2003, six brothers, Charles, Watt, William Arthur, Bernard, Jimmie, and J. C. Russell, and a sister, Isabelle Mann.

Surviving are two sons, Paul Gerald "Jerry" Moore and wife Alice "Sally" of Owensboro and Larry Eugene Moore and wife Scarlett of Frankfort, a daughter, Paula Anne Moore of Owensboro, a dear family member, Charles McGary and wife Joellen of Hardinsburg, two grandchildren, Ashley Ryan Fitzgerald Moore of Lexington and Shannon M. Wood of Owensboro, two great grandchildren, James and Jessee Wood, three sisters, Mayola Raley of St. Marys, Ky., Pauline Ewing of Loretto, and Josephine Jarboe and husband J. W. of Lebanon.

Services will be 11:30 A.M. Saturday, February 7, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
