Anna OBryan Monarch

Anna OBryan Monarch, 96, of 103 East 18th Street, Owensboro, died Saturday, November 25, 2006, at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 12, 1910 to the late Henry and Anna Booth OBryan in Daviess County. She retired after 25 years from the Owensboro Credit Bureau, was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church, the Alter Society and enjoyed quilting, cooking and working with flowers. She loved being with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Francis Monarch, a son, Larry Monarch and 2 sisters, Norine OBryan and Nina Ward.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Monarch and his wife, Patty of Reynolds Station; her daughter, Joan Johnson and her husband, James Horse, of Rome; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Monarch Nall of Owensboro; nine grandchildren, Todd Johnson, Don Monarch, Robin Johnson Morgan, Lori Monarch Higdon, Scott Monarch, Jerry Monarch, Jr., Carla Johnson Ellison, Sherry Monarch McCaslin and Carrie Johnson; 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 9:00 AM Tuesday at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Monday and after 8:00 AM Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home with prayers at 6:00 PM Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owensboro Catholic High School, 1524 West Parrish Ave., Owensboro, KY 42301 or the St. Josephs Peace Mission For Children, 1328 West Third Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
