Anna Lee Kirby "Tootsie" Martin, 89, of Owensboro, died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Warren County, Kentucky to the late Curtis and Ruby Cosby Kirby. A member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, she was active in the New Beginnings Sunday school class, a member of the Administrative Board, needlepoint committee, worship committee, and the congregational care committee. Tootsie was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Martin.
Survivors include her children, Anne Moseley and her husband David of Owensboro and Lee Martin and his wife Deborah of Natchez, MS and four grandchildren, Christopher Martin and his wife Lizzie, Geoffery Martin, Sarah Moseley Azevedo and her husband Billy and Addie Moseley.
Services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday and after 1 p.m. on Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Settle Memorial United Methodist Church or her dear friend Jack would appreciate donations to the Humane Society.
