Anna Tom Jones

Anna Tom Jones, 95, of 2022 Ottawa Drive, Owensboro, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 at her sons home. She was born in Gatewood, KY on August 1, 1906 the daughter of Henry and Ida Wright Harrison. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marion Forest Hawkins, in 1945; and her second husband, Ivan B. Jones, in 1968; and a son, Milton Hawkins, in 1993.

Mrs. Jones retired as a beautician from Beauty Box and Subletts after 50 years. She was a member of Seven Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting, time with family and helping others.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Hawkins of Owensboro; two daughters, Bonnie Kruck of Clarksville, TN and Ida Wells of Statesboro, GA; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend T. A. Prickett and Dr. Bob Coons. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 02, 2002 and after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
