Anna Lee Young Johnson

Anna Lee Young Johnson, 86, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born December 11, 1931 in Daviess Co. to the late Roscoe and Mary Ruth Freels Young. Anna Lee was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for the many dinners she had for her family which always included homegrown vegetables. She was a media member of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries-Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She loved the outdoors raising flowers and birdwatching, playing tennis, and spending time with her family. Anna Lee was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved her Lord very much.

Anna Lee was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Howard and a brother, Bobby Young.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Donald J. Johnson, seven children, Suzanne Denton of San Ramon, CA and children Nikki and Trey; Kim Johnson of Owensboro; Jeff (Jenny) Johnson and children, Adam, Paul, and Noah; Kelly (Nancy) Johnson and children, Kyle, Nicole, and Lauren; Brian (Liz Ann) Johnson and children, Hannah, Micah, and Grace; Andy (Monica) Johnson and children, Amelia and Emma; and Mary Ann Johnson and children, Marcus, Natalie, and Manning; six great grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Hattie (Bill) Potts, Joe Young, Larry Young, Frankie Young, and Connie Gibson, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 6, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Saturday and from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home .
