Anna Lee Custer, 72, 418 Tampa Drive, Owensboro, died Sunday, October 15, 2006, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born November 30, 1933 to the late Pius and Evelyn Thompson Montgomery in Daviess County. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was a devoted Catholic, and a special homemaker to her family. She enjoyed collecting dolls, and was a childrens caregiver known as Nana.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Percy Custer on April 22, 2005.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Percy L. Custer; her son, Michael Custer of Owensboro; her daughter, Donna McDaniel and her husband, Jerry of Owensboro; five grandchildren, James Matthew and Justina Marie Custer, Roseanna Louise Payne, Alexander Joseph Lee Custer and Anna Marie McDaniel; five great-grandchildren, Joseph, Katelynn Marie, Zachary Tyler, Joshua Daniel and Jeremiah Custer; her sisters, Mary Lois Millay, Martha Jean Horton, Teresa Stallings and Judy Logsdon, all of Owensboro.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday and after 8:30 A.M Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Capital Fund, 4029 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
