Anna Mae Coon

Anna Mae Coon, 87, of Owensboro, died Friday, April 11, 2008, at her home. She was born April 6, 1921 to the late Otis Cary and Mary Schroader Renfrow in Ohio County. She had retired from General Electric after 36 years of service, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved to fish, cook , work in her yard, and be with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Rudy Coon on March 12, 1988, her sisters and brothers, Alta Rae Burden, Owen Thomas Renfrow, Gladys Z. Ballard and Myrtle B. Proctor.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:30 PM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday, and after 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301.
