Anna Mae Williams Bryant

January 6, 1909 — December 4, 2005

Anna Mae Bryant, 96, formally of 1317 Burlew Blvd, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Hillcrest Nursing Home. Born in Deckard, TN to the late Ross and Minnie Woodward Williams, Mrs. Bryant had worked as a housekeeper for the Fuqua, Field and OFlynn families. Mrs. Bryant attended Sweeney Street Baptist Church and loved cooking and entertaining, shopping, and riding the bus. She had attended Compassionate Care Adult Day Care, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Bryant, Sr., a daughter, Stella Rose Bryant and two brothers, J.D. Williams and Michael Williams.

Survivors include, a son, George W. Bryant, Jr. of Owensboro, a daughter Daisy Bryant James and her husband Roy of Owensboro; grandchildren, Keith L, Bryant, Georgia A. Bryant, and Shannon R. Burroughs; great- grandchildren, Keith L. Bryant II, Keasha Bryant, Macee A. Bryant, AnnaBelle Bryant, Cheyenne Bryant, Kanada Bryant, Chasity Cline, Phillip Murphy, Jr., Tamara Murphy, and Dante McHenry; several nieces and nephews; and a very good family friend Paul Worth of Lexington.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 10 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Compassionate Care Adult Day Care Center.
