Catherine Vancleve Blair, 96, of 122 W. 24th Street, died Friday, September 16, 2005 at her home. She was born January 17, 1909 in Daviess County, KY to the late John H. & Jessie M. Kincheloe Vancleve. She retired after 30 years from General Electric Co. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting angels, traveling, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin C. Blair in 1965; two sons, B. J. VanFleet in 1962 and John W. Blair in 1965; three sisters, Mary Hayden, Josephine McKinley, and Alice Tanner; one brother, George Vancleve, and a foster brother, Harry Calhoun.
Mrs. Blair is survived by a granddaughter and her husband, Janice V. and Carl Mulligan of Owensboro; a daughter-in-law, Sue VanFleet of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2005 and after 8:30 a.m. Monday.
