Ann Bernice Adams Wilson

Ann Bernice Adams Wilson, 72, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, July 29 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Owensboro to the late Thomas L. and Mary Doudican Adams.

Ann was a graduate of Murray State University, having earned a degree in social work. She devoted her professional life to helping others, spending many years at Owensboro Daviess County Hospital as well as several nursing homes in the surrounding area.

Outside her career, she found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Desmond Wilson in 1992; a brother, Thomas Adams, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Robert Lyons.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Reynolds Adams (Ryan); granddaughters, Sydney and Rylee Adams; a sister, Mary Kay Lyons; nieces, Dawn, Amy and Katie; nephews, Sean, Timothy, Beau, Brian, Cory, Nathan, Jordan and Tommy; and many great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 2nd at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
